COVID-19: One Month Mental Health Check-in with School Staff

September 22, 2020

One month into the 2020-2021 fall semester, how are your staff and students coping? Dr. Scott Poland outlines the CALM model to help school staff manage their emotions and anxiety surrounding COVID-19. A special emphasis is placed on how administrators can best support their staff during the fall of the pandemic. The importance of developing and continuing to utilize self-care plans for staff and students is stressed, as well as how to identify and support those students that are the most affected by the virus, both emotionally and academically. This presentation by Dr. Scott Poland, a former national school crisis leader, is very beneficial to all K-12 administrators and educators.
